BIDDEFORD, Maine — A New York City man who claimed he acted in self-defense when he killed a man in a Maine apartment that was being used as a drug den was acquitted of all charges on Monday.
The jury returned the verdict in favor of Timothy Ortiz, who claimed he acted in self-defense when he shot Jonathan Methot two years ago in Biddeford, said Luke Rioux, a defense attorney.
